I'm with Mrs M. here. The probability that both the victim and the perp are dead doesn't make it un-investigatable. It may be a crime.

I didn't say that he formed them, but he did manage them early on, had some degree of influence over their attitude and style and gave them a big break when he had them as house band at the Crawdaddy Club.

He got involved with them later after Brian had formed the band and got the ball rolling.
Gomelsky had the Stones as the house band at the Crawdaddy and was the link to Loog Oldman.

The nearest I've got to a history of the Stones on my bookshelf is an unauthorised biography of Keef entitled 'Satisfaction.'
It's surprising how much Keef actually remembers of the Stones and the early days, all things considered.

Involved is one of those words that can mean an awful lot or an awful little.
He got them a break, no doubt about that.
Brian Jones was the driving force behind the Stones well in to their early 60s career, something even the ego-manic Mr Richards has admitted as being the case.

the fan club (if they still exist)'ll be going mad about this - they've been trying to force a new investigation for ages, complete with several promises of 'new, top secret evidence that nobody must know about it, that only we have that'll be going to the police, soonand will force them to admit there was a great conspiracuy to hush up Brian's murder, honest' that never ever gets anywhere - maybe they finally genuinly did find some evidence?
