Brexit Party multimillionaire invents 'bin pods' for rough sleepers by joining wheelie bins together

After making a Sinclair C5 joke earlier in the thread, it turns out he does actually have his finger in that sort of pie too, which makes the fact he couldnt be bothered to have a pod designed and made, rather than using wheelie bins, all the more silly.

An uncharitable person might make some extrapolations from this as to his underlying reasons for choosing bins when it comes to homeless people...

And finally, from his own website:

I have an extra-ordinary life! This site allows me to share the successes, failures and work-in-progress of the 100s of projects I have initiated over my lifetime. I hope this site will demonstrate that one person really can “Change the World”, but not without suffering many failures!

Some people will find many of parts of this site “unbelievable”. Indeed I find myself being credulous about what I’ve done. However, even the most cynical will have to agree that I have at least been a “Forest Gump”… being present when major changes happen.

To be fair, Pipex was the sort of success where, if you sell out at the right time, you can then fund many awful ideas for decades.

And please dont shoot me for saying that when prodding his website, there is even some evidence that he cares, that some portion of his heart is actually in the right place, but his worldview, vision, ideas and priorities are flawed to say the least. And the ego is there, since the earlier quote is from the section of the website entitled Thought Leader.

Hate to say it, but "thought leader" seems to be just a normal term thrown about in certain industries these days.

Yes, as wanky business jargon I think its been around most of my life. But where it is found in this semi-philanthropic context, 'I'm helping to improve the world with my brilliance' sort of thing springs to mind, even when accompanied by various forms of false modesty.
