Pffft, thanks to this thread I'll be having toasties for tea lol

Simple cheese and marmite, or cheese, marmite and tomato sauce. Haven't had the old cheese and beans combo for years - might have a bash tonight.

Yep - with sliced mushrooms too.

You can use them to fry eggs in too which is pretty cool. You end up with triangle shaped eggs.

We've got a breville panini maker like this which is cool but I miss my old classic one which use to seal the sandwiches.

I liked my old griddle plated breville - not sure it was actually a toastie machine, but that's all I used it for. The toasted sarnies are better from ones like that... with those sealy traingle ones precious cheeses gets wasted and burned

OK, this is how made of fail I am.

Just making a toastie. Decided on the vile combination that is grated cheese, beans and a couple of slices of quorn chicken (lol). Anyway, put my slice of quorn on last. Closed the machine.

Yeah, wondered why there was still buttered bread on the side.

well in the absence of a breville, I made summat like it in the frying pan, filling consisting of mozzarella, tomato and basil
