  • I don't pay for my cornflakes so I don't care

When I were a lad I used to complain if my mum got own-brand cornflakes because they weren't as good as the Kelloggs ones.

Nowadays I choose my cornflakes all by myself. This means that firstly I can get Crunchy Nut Cornflakes instead of plain old boring regular ones. Secondly it means I have to pay for them myself and I have noticed that the Kelloggs ones are really quite significantly more expensive than the own-brand ones. So now I often buy the own brand ones.

I would like your comments on whether you think the taste difference is in proportion to the cost difference please.

A poll will appear in due course.
do you find yourself less inclined to masturbation after eating kellogg's - that is, do you think mr kellogg's aim has in your case proved successful?

That’s absolute nonsense. It is a slow release food, so it is less likely to kill you in the long term, but it is always perfectly satisfying at the time.

Perhaps you have been covering your porridge in cream and golden syrup, and that is why you are left with cravings after glumly licking your spoon clean. In which case, have it with nut butter and freshly ground black pepper. Or salsa verde.

It is moderately satisfying at the time, but about two hours later you are more hungry than you would have been otherwise.

I am not.

You may be reporting your own experience accurately, but it is surprising and counterintuitive. From a porridge firm’s point of view, your claims might be actionable.

Looks like no-one else has posted the obligatory Peep Show clip yet, so:

Anyway, voted option 3, but should actually have voted for "I have been eating own brand for so long that I can no longer remember how Kellogg's compares", which the OP thoughtlessly forgot to include. Frankly I'm not sure teuchter should be allowed to start threads if they're going to take such a slapdash and inadequate approach to poll creation.

What they should do is force it down your throat as is done to geese in the production of pâté de foie gras, that might put the wind up you. And shut you up too
It is no surprise to see you recommending that corporate entities use physical violence to subdue their critics. We've been reading your torture fantasies on here for long enough now.

I'm simply saying they could scare you and they could silence you. And offered an example of how they could do that.
