, but when it comes to bread I'm normal as they come!Cos putting bread in the fridge has absolutely no negative effect on it IME so why bothergeminisnake said:Why don't you fridge users just get a smaller loaf?![]()

) she puts our bread in the fridge every time she comes round.. since then i've thought hmm.. maybe there's something in it and so have been doing it more recently.. I dont honestly think it keeps it fresh any longer (it seems to dry out rather than mould though).. and yes, unless toasted, bread is just plain wrong cold! (although i think the old bird might have a point in the hot summer months....)jbob said:I would suggest you either stop eating bread altogether, or eat bread every day. Either option is preferable to the calamity of eating bread stored in a fridge. A further option would be to explore the world of individually sold bakery products, such as baps or croissants.
But you can't make toast from them so I have to have some bread about (in the fridge of course). redsnapper said:Not if it's wrapped up Firks. Jeezdon't you Geordie's know owt lad!

What is wrong with you people???Alex B said:Fridges are usually airtight though, whereas I have yet to encounter a bread bin that is. So the fridge would keep bread fresher regardless of its temperature.
