Brazil vs Ghana

If the referee had been fair and Ghana had an ounce of finishing in them it would have been a comfortable victory.

That is unfortunate, still, as the commentator rightly said, it's consistent refereeing which is something that hasn't happened this whole tournament.

Correct. It's one of the aspects of Germany 2006 that i feel that will ruin an quite enjoyable tournament so far. I'm still not convinced that Brazil will retain the World Cup after this performance against a spirited and unfortunate Ghanaian team.

kingson must be knackered. he's pulled off some good saves.

i rekkon theres a forcefeild around the brisilian goal - nothing will go in :o

How many goals do you reckon Ghana would have stuffed past England?

It makes you shudder to think doesn't it? certainly 2 goals, probably more though. I think we are getting better just slightly each game though, so it's hard to tell, if we had Ghana in our group I think they would've top it to be fair.

Brazil are beatable, if Ghana's line wasnt so high and as someone said, they could finish/had a bit of luck, they could have won.

Jeez, that's a lot of ifs.

Put the ball in the net then there is no ifs or buts.

In otherwords finishing your chances than the opposition that mostly wins matches at the top level. And that was the difference between Ghana and Brasil (Brazil). Ghana have won quite a lot of their admirers with their energetic, skillfull and godd football that they've shown in this tournament :)

No, Brazil are shit loads better than Ghana - hence 3-0.

Heard the second half on 5 Live. What a load of shit. Ghana were rubbish apart from their keeper. Brazil sounded like they couldn't be arsed. Ronaldo was getting quite out of breath apparently.

I think Spain will play Brazil in the quarters and I hope they beat them if they play like this.

Idaho -- spot on

I caught the last 25 minutes of the game, I was really impressed by Ghana's passing and teamwork, but their final touches were woeful. I wonder whether if Essien had not been suspended, that would have made a difference?

Brazil were complacent, did enough but not a lot more, and got away with that.

Kingson, what a hero!

I got really annoyed with Ghana actually. If you're the underdog you have to keep it tight, keep your head and take your chances and they did none of these.

If it hadn't been for the score, by the radio commentary you'd think that Brazil had lost. The Brazillians are obviously learning from England.

Sure, but at least they were entertaining.

with that shooting?

i think robinson could have collected the Ghanaians tame efforts just about as comfortably as Dida did to be honest.

Like Australia unfortunately, good, attractive side, but ultimately toothless.

anyway, what's this thread got to do with england?

Can't disagree. In the final third at least, they did nothing.
