i dont feel anything - just go and see him. people on here say you know your music and i believe you do. so go and see pete for yourself, so you can at least comment on his performance style.

not true. cos u know that apart from these two, i only listen to syd barrett and captain beefheart. so my standards are sky high. pete and amy write songs as good as either syd or don van vliet. other idiots like duffy or the arctic monkeys could never, ever ever do.
I saw the Libertines. They were pretty poor. Since Doherty's post-Libertines stuff is even worse, why in God's name would I want to go see him?

pete is mostly awful live.
but in his heart he is one of the greats. he is the most captivating performer i have ever seen. i have never seen people react to someone the way they react to him. pete is one of the greats. no matter what he does, you will believe it if you see him. i am mainly a Prince fan so i have funk standards but Pete is just brilliant, although fucked yes. still please trust me.
cos you are a musician? he is really captivating live. make sure you see him at glastonbury, for yourself.

well of course. i have seen james brown live around four times and prince six times now. Pete Doherty is just as exciting and elicits the same magic those performers do. just by being there. thats why i want these english festival goers like el jefe to check it out. Cos if they go to a festival and miss out on one of the early greats, they are being foolish (even though this person is just seen as a caricature in the press right now and all that)
