Are they both typical low life stuff or do they stop prattling on about intergalatic metaphors from mars and do either some party tunes(like nuke proof suit) or g up a bit?

They are just ignorent. Call it flow and they will understand.

and theres more to the non back packer stuff then grding in the club(although thats all good). Your showing your ignorence too. Theres plenty of people that are saying things lyrically that keep it raw and gangsta.

most people that think of hip hop think of something that's pales in comparison to the fact that its an artform a medium of expression whether its a culture,accapella(any expressive diatribe)

I have to say to too many people that you cant define hip hop by the music cos it can be over any musical genre or no music it can be someone tapping on the floor while reciting a poem(which predates modern hip hop in any culture) to me it unifies all our collective efforts at expressing ourselves in any form and so will never die and has always been before being classified.

but I am a obsesive systems theorist,thinking everythig should be looked at more holisticly

it's not either or. personally I find a lot of the backpacker stuff over intellectual and boring. you still get amazing wordplay and intelligent messages in some of the gangster stuff, there are loads of rubbish gangsta rappers and a lot of rubbish backpacker rappers, and loads of good ones of both as well
