Brains 45

8/12 for me and I don't realy drink and don't do pubs much either. Maybe I'm just kidding myself.

Yes, may have still got it, a great excuse to have a pint in dodgy pubs and fuck off quickly - i think I got the Bulldog.

A pathetic 7 and 2 of those had different names when I last went in there! Can't bring myself to go in the Yard... it's too painful. :(

BECKS do a good alcohol-free lager, which is 100% pure by german "rheinheitsgebot". probably not vegan either though, fortunately neither a vegan nor a purist!

they've started selling this in Inncognito, dunno when it started but this

i found it to be a relaly nice beer that i will probably drink again given the chance.

I had a some 'Sunday beer' in the Albany a few weeks ago. Started of with a few shandys to get back in the swing, and I asked for 45 with lemonade in it and the bloke gave me a dirty look and said 'You can have it, but it'll taste fucking shit'.

It didn't btw - just the job!

NB - I've only been in 6 of them boozers.

I had some in The Yard the other day.

*shuffles nervously*

Really liked it. Definitely a class above the mass-produced pish usually passed off as lager.

Hope its influence spreads. Yea! E'en unto the sleepy Vale

You can add The Halfway, Pontcanna to that list. That's where I work! :D

We got given a whole load of blurb about Brains 45 when we had it installed yesterday. Apparently if we call it a lager we can collect our p45's.

So, if any urbanites fancy coming in tonight for a tall glass of 'continental style beer' i'll be serving it with a nifty 45 t-shirt on.

Oh and apparently Brains are spening 4.5million advertising this stuff.

Whats the difference between a lager and a continental-style beer then?

God knows! The marketing guys at Brains?

It looks like lager, smells like lager & tastes like lager!

I'd certainly give this beer a go if I saw it. The Rhymney Lager mentioned previously is on tap at the Mochyn Du at the moment. Do you have to drink this 45 out of a 'lazer etched half pint' or whatever?
MrFit bought some rhymney beer at the big cheese (the real ale ) and said it was yumm
