I have to say I find it very amusing everyone saying how sad it is etc etc nobody on here knew the guy the outpouring of grief shock etc can at times be quite amusing when it comes to a 'celebrities' death...I remember err where I was etc...well I fucking won't...

It happened to the husband of a friend of a friend. He went upstairs for a lie down, and a few hours later his wife went up and foind him dead, I think he was in his late 20s.
RIP Stephen.

The Mark Owen of Boyzone, he seemed like a sweet genuine fella, who stayed nice after fame and celebrity.
Like Owen before him, Gately was the cute, puppyfaced member the girls went mad for. He was really good looking in flesh too - saw him a few times in Dublin (actually the whole band are). He sang 'No matter what' innit. Get your kleenex ready....
I suspect it was a drunken accident and not drugs, very sad stuff. To die at 33 too - the age of Christ
