Boxing guilt

You dont hear the crowd. I can tell you that from personal experience. Whilst you fight there is just you, your opponent and the ref. If you are good you may manage to hear your coach too. I never could.

The crowd fades away although there are instances such as breaks in the action when you notice them again.

Mind you the most I've fought in front of is 500ish. It might be different in front of 10,000 but I'm guessing that once the fight begins the same focus applies.

What level did you box at Marius? If you don't mind me asking. :)

Didnt box. Use to compete at national level in full contact karate championships.

My Sensai told me that the crowd fades away but I didnt believe him untill I experienced it myself.

 cheers. We had a thread on here a pl of years ago, don't know if you can remember, about who would win in a fight between a boxer, martial artist and a street fighter. Was interesting.

Ah, well you see that's why I asked. Does this actually happen? I'd make the same assumption as you, but I don't actually know the answer.

we love a good ruck in the UK though, we always have.

Id answer that its very much down to the individual. At their peaks Bruce Lee versus Mike Tyson versus The biggest nastiest street fighter you can think of... well I wouldnt want to call it. I think i'd have a quid on Iron Mike though.
