Bosnian Serb war crimes suspect Radovan Karadzic arrested

I dont really like people much... but this man I hate with a passion.

wonder if uncle sam needs to test out any new torture... sorry interogation techniques?

Apparently he was working as a alternative practioner, at the press conference ironically for such a mass murderer the photo they exhibited of a white haired bushy bearded pensioner made me think of some of the characters you see at peace fairs, rallies, etc.

and yes, he was a member of the Green Party!

Ironic, this. Karadzic would have signed it in a heartbeat... and then acted upon it... :(

Can you see the difficulty in your post?:hmm:

That's a pretty good disguise tbf

Strange: if one doesn't like people, then one can't trust them, then one has to defend oneself, because the darker the picture of Human Nature one paints the more force one needs, then that starts a specific social dynamics and then, bit by bit, one starts... well, what Karadzic, Hitler, Pol Pot, Idi Amin and the lot did...

Read Hobbes for starters and end with Schmitt, for instance and see what I mean. You might want to chage your tune after that...:hmm:

If I were planning a political move that might eventually lead to me becoming an international fugitive, I'd grow a huge bushy beard before starting. Then, if it all went wrong, I could safely shave it off and no-one would have the slightest idea who I was.

"The fact that he was involved with alternative medicine, earning his money from practising alternative medicine, shows that he worked. He was working in a private practice and the last place where he had residence was New Belgrade," he told a news conference in Belgrade.

what a fitting career for someone like him - a charlatan who destroys peoples lives by talking absolute bollocks

hahahaha yep

amazingly, he got a book published while he was on the run. and he wrote poetry!

a man of many talents

Him and Jasmuheen should go into business

lets just say that this man (and a couple of others) are mainly responsible for my world view and disdain of humanity.

I dont really do "hate" (its a waste of energy and such a strong term) but i hate this man.

The feelings that my hatred csaues is truely ironic I will agree but I really hope that the twat gets justice.

I saw Kevin Rowland from Dexys on Brick Lane the other day. I know he hasn't technically been in hiding for as long as Radovan, but he did have a denim cap on at a jaunty angle.

Good to see this monster brought to some sort of justice, should be handed over to the Bosnian Government though.

Surprised no ex-RCPer's on here trying to claim that he never hurt no-ne.

Well, well. Funny how he made such a convincing practitioner of alternative medicine. Let's hope they find Mladic working as an astrologer on Serbian breakfast TV next.

Beards make a huge difference to men that age, it's the saggy jowls.

What's really fucking weird is that my dad has a big "salt-and-pepper" beard, which he shaved off recently to see what it would look like. He looked fucking scary and my stepmother made him grow it back. She said, and I quote, "it makes you look like a Serbian war criminal".

Nice one; so the Serbian police finally stopped protecting him, eh?

Wonder why?

I heard it was a foreign agent who found him. So much for Serbian good will.

I don't understand why his capture should facilitate Serbian's membership in the EU. Now if the Serb police had turned the country over I could see it but shit, the guy wasn't exactly "in hiding" was he.

some people are erm, slightly pissed off with karadzic's arrest ...

...shame, they will be even more pissed off when hes convicted of being a murdering cunt

according to his brother karadzic is:

" proud of everything that happened there. And this is not a question about Radovan Karadzic and his destiny. The question is what he did for the Serbian people and what he did for the other side, for Muslims and Croats"

referining to the events of the balkens war in the 90s

if he so proud why did he feel the need to hide out and look like great uncle bulgaria?

Because he is a sociopath. No conscience whatsoever. No reflection and deffo no self-reflection. There is nothing to be proud of, just a lot of destruction for no gain, as soon they'll all be in the EU etc. etc. So, even by his own standards and values/objectives: whatever for?!?

Indeed, he had other options. Some of his fellow sociopaths even came to the Hague of their own accord. Some repented, some haven't. But his was the most cowardly and most idiotic, not to mention hypocritical of decisions!

Why am I not fucking surprised?

But this kind of reaction will peter out the closer Serbia gets to being in the EU. Which the giving up of Rado, however it was achieved, is going to bring about more quickly. Not soon, but more quickly. And events tonight makes it even more likely things will be sped up.

So it's all self-reinforcing, really.
