and i love these! the victorian look and dainty foot. they're expensive though....and i live in florida..not really boot country. but i'll prolly end up with them anyway! hehe

nah i disagree. shoes in the UK are top and i always make sure to buy a pair when I'm there. and get my hair did too...just different styles for different countries, and different is always cool imo

This thread is full of little disappointments, so many links dont' work...
I need smart/casual boots to wear with skirts (for work but also out, so not too formal) - no high heels though, I can't walk on them.
any suggestions pretty please?
this is the nearest I got to it so far:

I think if you want a tight fitting pair of boots, it's best to invest the money in a pair of duo boots. Alot of boots I've tried on are too big for my calves... or fit my calves and are loose around the ankles. However, for some reason, we aren't in boot season -which is rather rubbish really.

Black, soft, not shiny leather.
No slouchy leather.
Mid shin length or maybe a little higher but not knee high.
Zip up or pull on but not too tight.
Can anyone help.
I keep looking through DMs, Rocket Dogs and Red or Dead but not finding anything.
Oh and I am not looking to pay the earth either.
