after all that  you WILL buy those boots strumpet

i cant decide which ones to buy now. i'm limiting myself to two pairs but i want all three. i dont know for sure what colour the red is, i do need a new pair of black ones and i dont have any brown ones but my wardrobe this season is mostly beige and brown and ive just bought a brown handbag i love so i need, yes indeed need some brown boots
the black pair of boots i bought from jones bootmaker are gpoing back so really i could get all three and still have money left over, but thats a bit geedy isnt it

ah really? im a size three and a half and was just about to order the sie three because my current ones are quite loose but then i do like to wear big socks so i was thinking of going for the size 4. given what you've said i think i'll go for the four, thanks sheo
im going to get the black ones as well. they've got some quite nice brown boots too.......

Wow - you have teeny feet! :D

Just to clarify, length wise in my usual size, they're fine...it's only over the top of my foot that they're tight iyswim...but then I don't have very dainty feet!

I normally take a 6 and ordered the two pairs in a 6 and a 7...just because I didn't want to have to return them (RETURNS ARE NOT FREE btw!!!).

I didn't mind either the black or the dark brown (as it turned out the black 6's fit best apart from this problem...the 7's weren't tight over my foot but were just far too big  ) so decided I'd keep whatever fits and stick the other pair on ebay - can't see myself losing money on em (I'll set a minimum bid just incase) and I won't have to fork out to send them back.

Thing is, I actually really like the brown ones too, so I reckon I'll order them in the 6 too soon....just a bit irritating that the price has risen by a tenner since I bought em!

So you could do something similar and order two sizes, or maybe just go and try them on somewhere first?

I wear wellies most of the time. i live in rural Tottenham, you know. I've just got a new pair of Hunter wellies from TK Maxx. They have Scottish Tweed uppers. Now all I need is an ancient, smelly kilt which is matted with dog hair.

It sounds like you have high arches. I have that problem, as well as having wide feet so finding nice boots is a problem. Oh, and I have also have very chunky calves as well.

Is it me or are chunky legs becoming less of an issue with boots? Not that I'm saying I have chunky legs *cries*. :(

When I was younger I used to have trouble buying boots 'cos they didn't zip all the way up but now I have no problem at all and my new pair are actually really loose at the top. :)

I reckon shops have got wiser to shoe fittings in the past few years.

i bought some new boots today, doc marten desert boots - genius idea, had to have them, even though i didn't really need them:o

Yum! I see lots of knee length boots that I like unfortunately my short stubby legs won't let me get them on. :( Evans ones are too big and also the few boots made to fit chunkier calves are always in the more boring styles. I want the boots I love to be in my size, not to have to choose boots that don't thrill me from the few available in my size.

Sweeet jesus these boots are tight
i went for the size 4 given wht you said about wearing them in and the fact that my current scruffy pair are a roomy 4 and i like to wear at least two pairs of socks in the winter, but these are beyond tight, they feel like leg splints, i cant even fle my ankle in them. saying that though, they are not entirely uncomfortable  i'm gonna keep em but how long do you think it will take to wear them in

the brown replay ones on the pther page are really comfy, all loose and suede and fabulous. ilikes em
