As I am back from the hell that was VFest - dear deity, not ever again - if you have photos or videos of the security being arseholes, forward them to the company and the organisers. If you have coherent statements, same again. Take to twitter, etc and push for changes. Remember that not all of them will work for one company and a lot of subbing will have taken place. In future, don't ask for badge numbers, you aren't entitled to have them and they will stop you from getting them. Look for numbers on the shirts or hiviz and get shots of them. Carry the cards which explain, in words of one syllable, why you are legally allowed to film them and what they are legally allowed to do - I believe the press have something along those lines. Like bust cards, surprised nobody has popped up with these yet. Hold them to account. None of us are above this and remember there are often two sides (or more) to every story. As for seizing money - illegal. Only the police can do that and it has to be as part of a formal "proceeds of crime" procedure. Demand a supervisor, demand to be taken to the processing area - get the attention of others and use that to push back on them. They can and will intimidate you - don't let them. If they are doing a legitimate job (my mate was videoed pinning a guy to the ground and laying solid punches into his arm - which looked bad until he stood up and he had a hammer in his waistband that he would not let go of - and this was not for putting in tent pegs...). Sometimes it looks bad but there is a reason. But be proactive in supporting each other. Drugs is drugs - the big target is NOS at the moment for some reason. I gave a bloke a light at the weekend because his joint was getting wet and he was better off smoking it before it fell apart.....
