It's nice for the whole creation myth of middle-earth thing, but I find the style hard work. It's like trying to read Beawolf, or the illiad. Hard work and little reward.

i've alreay read it a couple of times, and i'm about to read it again. it's brilliant.

Cold Comfort Farm was one i read over and over when i was younger. made me feel all calm it did.

Silmariliion would make a brilliant film if anyone other than me considered it filmable.

May not have been 20 years ago but CGI has moved on since then.
