Books/films/telly etcyou find funny but no one else seems to get

Curb Your Enthusiasm, but that's because no one I know has seen it due to the idiot controllers of Channel 4 never having put it on terrestrial. Those who have seen it love it too.

I thought it was on BBC2 for some reason. Obviously not.

Dylan was in Shaun Of The Dead too! Playing a very different character than usual.

Everyone I know's seen it - you have to seek out good comedy - it you wait for it to fall in your lap, it's probably not for you

You obviously mix in better comedic circles than me. Cocooned out on More 4 as it is, CYE simply doesn't get the exposure necessary. People who know their comedy recognise Larry as a comedy genius, but sadly C4 don't seem to credit the public with enough intelligence to put on in prime time.

I once read that Solaris (the book) was intended as a kind of satire. Certainly parts of it made me giggle - but the films, and the reverence in which it is held, are so po-faced.

Simon Callow and Brenda Blethan in Chance in a Million. It is in a deep part of memory but only I seem to be able to recall it.

Yeah - that was good, even though I never quite understood the premise behind the sitcom.

Just searched Amazon and Ebay and other places and found them all on Newsgroups, they must be home video rips and bound to be poor, but shall have to see if they still do the job.
