Bonkers eco-terrorism article in the Guardian

Look at it this way, if you read the Stern Report commissioned by Gordon Brown, it basically says:

1) 'Is this stuff about climate change real or just some hippy bollocks?'
2) 'It's real alright'
3) 'So can we do anything sensible about it without being bad for business?'
4) 'Nope'
5) 'So can we find a way to make money off it?'
6) 'Oh yes, what we do is use the IMF to inflict 'climate change insurance' on the worst affected nations, and then screw them with debt like we always do.'
7) 'A pink gin for that man!'

So people who are actually trying to do something meaningful about environmental issues are the enemy of profit. It therefore follows that nuLabour cynically conflates hippies doing property damage with people who saw heads off and give the cops permission to do anything necessary, perhaps including shooting them repeatedly in the face (after all, that's what we do to terrorists, or indeed random Brazilians right?) to stop them from annoying business people.

I'm telling on you.
Thing is, stomach-churning levels of smugness and condescension might go down well at Harry's place or some other nest of self-satisfied nuLab wankers, but here they don't buy you anything, except maybe pole place in a 'Most hated person on Urban' contest.

Smug, self-satisfied, patronising nuLabour/neo-con scum.

Go to search and read fullyplumped's posts in their entirety if you are even for a moment considering voting nuLabour and if you make it through without projectile-vomiting due to the utterly sickening levels of smugness, the horrible party-hack cynicism and the offensively slimy, condescending nuLabour arrogance will cure you of any delusions about those bastards.

Wasn't intended to be idle. Just re-read the thread.

Take particular note of the not so subtle threats of grassing us all up to anti-terror cops who have been empowered by nuLabour to do all kinds of violent, undemocratic and objectively disproportionate stuff to inconvenient eco-hippies.

Doesn't fullyplumped sound an awful lot like one of those US bully-boys who were showing up brandishing the same sort of implict threat of disproportionate action by out of control anti-terror cops as we saw in the run-up to the Iraq war? People like Greenguy and Diesel (now in jail for firearms offences and previously in jail for trying to blow up Martin Luther King) and pbman's other psycho pals from the Ann Coulter boards?

As far as I can tell the only differences are the accent and the fact that the US bully-boys weren't as odiously smug and condescending.

It seems to me that a campaign to de-industrialise rural Scotland by means of force and threats amounts to terrorism, as defined in the Terrorism Acts. If I come across evidence of terrorist activity I will certainly report it. This is one of the things expected of a citizen and a grown up.

Your use of the words "turn tout" and "grass" sounds delightful. I'm sure YOU never tell on the bullies at school.

Right - are you familiar with the concept that failing to act to prevent genocide is complicity in genocide?

Or perhaps you think that industrial activity that brings jobs in your electoral district magically has no effect anywhere else in the globe?

(ah, what's the use? I don't think "systems thinking" has entered this arena...)

There's BNP supporters more popular than fullyplumped on here.

I was tempted to say that there were real people who supported the BNP, but there aren't any who supported NuLab.

Then I realised I meant "there are poor people who support the BNP, but NuLab don't care as long as the wealthy fund them".

Still, if racists would vote NuLab, I'm sure they'd purge the Cabinet of the English :D

I'd put a big gap between them and FP. They were believers. FP is just a party hack, a rat fucker. In her situ this is what she has to believe. She would do the same for the tories if asked to.

Some of you ought to call a public meeting in Appin and tell the people how by working at Glensanda they are complicit in genocide, and failing to use systems thinking. Particular attention could be given to the fact that aggregate from the quarry was used to build that ecological disaster zone, the Channel Tunnel. The swines! They could also be encouraged to set up sustainable walking tours for ecotourists from North London.

That law that also says that it's impossible for a state agent to commit terrorism? Moider, torture or false-flag events can't be classifies as "terror" if performed by a state agent?

Oh, and you do realise there's a difference between "it's morally correct" and "there's a law that the buggers in London passed"?

Yeah fair enough, doesn't settle my stomach though. Still makes me want to puke.

What's the world coming to when a cynical bullying insufferably smug shite-squirt like that can come on here and try to intimidate people with not-so-subtle threats of that sort?

Actually, following party "liberal intervention" lines, we should get the Dutch airforce to bomb the place in order to stop Bangladesh flooding. After a few thousand casualties, we should admit that it isn't a real solution, but gain massive international credibility for our humanitarian efforts in cleaning up the mess and importing thousands of highly-paid Ivory Coast consultants to explain to the remaining locals how they could succeed in the modern enterpreneurial climate by bringing sunbathers to the region.

I think it's actually a cunning plan to get you to burst a blood vessel and die.

Either that or we've finally seen what evil looks like - a regular Party Member. (Probably joined before the Reichstag Fire - what's the term? Novemberists?)

The Dutch Air Force wouldn't find it. They'd probably hit Tottenam instead. And anyway, it's a QUARRY!

I've got Bernie Gunter on ignore for being an abusive wee nyaff, (and he's not the only one) but I wouldn't want him to suffer actual physical harm. It's only the internet, remember!

That would be fine under "liberal intervention theology." After all, those "good bombs" we drop might kill people, but they are either bad guys, or happy to be killed in the struggle against bad guys.

And I like the complete acceptance that Western military intervention will always bomb people hundreds of miles away from the actual target. It says a lot about notions of accountability...
