Think that was a member of one of Farian's other bands.

Both male members of Boney M are still around & have been playing-off different line-ups against each other for years.

They were the creation of a german hitmaking tycoon, who needed a band for his eurodisco songs.
The bandmembers didn't actually sing on any of the records, that was done by other musicians.

One of the two guys from Millie Vanillie killed himself in the 90's. They were also a Frank Farian outfit who just like Boney M. were miming to someone elses voices. Unlike with Boney M. that caused a massive scandal when it came out.

I like a lot of cheesy 70's pop but Boney M. really were rubbish.
