Maybe. Maybe it's just the way you come across to me, a bit pompous, it's mostly harmless I guess but a but annoying. But hey let's not turn this into a fight, my fault for starting it, and it's christmas and we both think Bon Iver are dull so let's focus on that, turn hate into love.

I think Dave was just being silly and flippant anyway, that's how I took it anyway.

A two second search turned up a thread where you said "Imagine" was an anthem for the feebleminded. That's being derogatory about people who like a song you dislike.

But we've all done it, so what's the worry?

As an example of music buffs being a bit snobbish, I've just started working in a record shop and we were discussing people bringing stuff back. The conversation went like this.

Colleague 1: This bloke bought the Fleet Foxes back saying he didn't like it, I looked at him in disgust.
Colleague 2: Not surprised mate, what an idiot.
Me: Well maybe it just wasn't their cup of tea?

*both look at me incredulously*

Me: What I mean is, maybe they aren't saying it's shit, but just saying it wasn't for them..

*more silence*

Me: No? No, you're right, what a prick.
