What sad times for Bolton. As a Palace fan I can fully empathise with what they are going through. They are not the first team that this has happened to and they won't be the last.
What's different this time is the players going on strike because they and the staff have not been paid for weeks Bolton Wanderers: EFL says club must fulfil fixtures after Brentford game postponed

Lets hope they get things sorted and soon.

Really shit for players and staff and fans

I heard the chairman is now taking legal advice and might not sell

They "bought" our best striker at the end of the transfer window then never paid for him so he came back; sounds like their chairman is a right chancer.

There are many sad football stories around.

Swansea, everyone’s favourite second team a few years ago, have offered voluntary redundancy packages to every single non playing staff member.

Notts County, oldest professional football club in the world, face relegation out of the league.

Tragedies, in football terms, waiting to happen all over.

The EFL even asked Bolton to field their youth team against Brentford, and this was only refused on the ground the youth team had played on Thursday. In effect, the EFL were asking a bunch of 16 year olds to effectively, symbolically at least, cross a picket line for the sake of neat fulfilment of fixtures. Fuck that.

Being on a football special coming out of Preston, I have never felt much towards them, but, if it is Preston helping out, well done them. Hope some other clubs/players follow their lead.
