Bobby Robson's illness

say sorry and noone will think you are a cunt

at the moment you are coming across like a right cunt

I don't think I have said anything cuntish. I say what I think, hopefully not in a nobheadish way. But if you disagree please quote me and and I'll take it from there.

Cos you are trying to bring something else into it like 'who really knows what he was really like'

and people were just paying respects to him because he is on his way out and he means a lot to me and a lot of people

Maybe I am being daft for being offended, I'm not arguing about this anymore tho

Well yeah he was a good manager, and to be honest I'm sorry to hear him feeling ill, but I'm glad I threw out that one about charging to watch golf games cos I reckon its true. And if that pisses you off and upsets you I'm not sorry. I reckon he is just another self-congratulatory egotistical manchild.

You're not being daft whatsoever for being offended,it sickens me also that someone thinks like eddyblack does. He's not worth bothering to reply to anymore tbh.

aye tragic,
was the only silverlining in stauntons farcical appointment, fair play to the man he gave as much as possible considering the circumstances...

he brought an average ipswich team leaps and bounds.. thoght that well off there he was offered a 10 year contract to remain. He nevertheless followed the lure to England management

lets face it he wasnt one of the worse they ever had by any means

His record in European football was not to shady for an englishman abroad either.

He deserves the honours he has recieved, as he has always struck me as a principled player, a motivating manager and clubs with his real burning desire for the beautiful game of football .

The man's a legend and unfortunatly somewhat of a dying breed

Perhaps a thread where people are lamenting his tragic illness isn't the best place to raise this.

Quite. Don't feed the troll, people.

What Aylee said. Don't rise to the bait.

Sad to see SBR in that state, although it's the lack of hair that's aged him more than anything else. A lovely man by all accounts, and a top-notch manager at just about every club he's been at. Dignified as always.

Disagree with that, relahni - let's not forget he gave us 1 good tournament over the course of about 8 years. I'd forgotten it was terminal though, it's just really sad. He should have a statue at Portman Road if he hasn't got one already.

Yup, right there behind the Portman Road stand (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Bobby_Robson_Statue_Closeup.jpg).

The man is a legend among Ipswich fans...the footballing world needs more people like Sir Bob.

He isn't going to get better he is going to be dead in a couple of years

I've known a couple of people who have met him and he is a really fucking nice bloke by all accounts

I saw him on telly getting that award and I cried cos he looks so ill. I'm welling up thinking about it now tbh

But on the upside, he has had a fucking brilliant life and he makes me proud of where I come from. I have never heard anyone say anything bad about bobby.

Absolutely.

My dad was the Sec of Suffolk F.A. during the 80's and me and my brother spent tons of time kicking a ball about with Bobby.

My young footballing memories all centre around Portman Road, Bobby Robson and ITFC. I worship the man...
