Bob Crow calls for New Working Class Party ?

woosh - you must be quite short, it doesnt take much for a point to fly over your pretty little head

At 6' 3" no not short but again you're "point" doesn't really make much sense. I have never been a member of the Nation of Islam nor am I a Muslim.

Encourage him? How, where have I said "dear laya you lovable Tory scum, please stay on Urban, enjoy your time here attempting to winding up "liberals" and not shutting your mouth when its good for you or making your points without screaming anger at everyone"?
well, fortunately this doesnt actually matter now. but, if you think that the only way to encourage a nasty little racist shit like layabout is to explicitly endorse his views, then you are mindnumbingly naive. The banter you partook in is enough for a shit like him to find reason to come back and keep posting his moronic drivel. Without any such encouragement he would have gone long ago. As he should have.

Bollox, you're talking clear out of your arse. Pissing about with someone on the net does not equate to encouragement, if everyone gave him the cold shoulder (impossible becuase some must have shared his views on here) he would have stuck around because he's a subborn fuck. Urban75 would be boring as fuck if everyone thought exactly the same.

no he wouldnt, he'd have gone/been banned long ago. still, you have to justify yourself don't you.

and dont stick that 'it'd be boring if everyone thought the same' shit on the end as if its a meaningful post, unless you think that, apart from fascists and their sympathisers, everyone thinks the same.

Oh ffs, there is no way you could know how long he would stay for...I aint justifying anything because I haven't done what you suggest. And no I was talking about fash etc (why you have to jump to such extremes I don't know). Laya is a Tory through and through and there are other Tories on here. For him to go as fast as you suggest they'd all have to leave equally fast and even then that doesn't account for character; there must be at least a few Tories on here that exist without ever pissing off the Mods.

What do you want, every single poster to be vetted as being leftwing? And then what form? Anarchist, Socialist, how left is good enough for you and how right is too far??

he was a thick fucking fascist apologist, a far far right tory shit. more to the point he loved stirring it with his racist moronisms - and anyone who does that should fuck right off. He is not a decent sort worth debating with in any way. He is pure and simple scum.

And if you cant tell that, its your problem, but it is your problem.

Ok, so we have one variable, so just how left should this place be? Who should be allowed here?

politicaly - anyone who isn't a clear racist, fascist, sexist, or homophobe in my book. Including tories. But this is a smokescreen to cover your sympatihes for that prick because of some stupid fucking computer games. Without which he'd have been banned long ago.

So now if it wasn't for the clan he would have been banned long ago? Talk about changing your story. This is fucking pointless, you're so fucking blinded by your own political delusions you cant see beyond them.

are you trying to get people to usurp editor's role? eh?

Don't be a prick, he was the one saying that only certain types of people should be allowed on here (probably some fucking clone of himself...)...

you dont think I'd make such a comment without proof do you? mrs m said so herself seconds before banning it. without that, he'd definitely have been long gone, without people encouraging a bit of banter with him, he would very very probably have gone too.

a major gripe seemed to be l's inability to debate, something you seem to have in common with him.

If you believe this, then it's not a huge leap of logic to argue that pissing about with someone on the net does not equate to harassment. Yet you rejoice in Ern's banning for pissing about on the net.

Well exactly. We can't all be the same, but if someone is too different, they're out.

Smells like hypocrisy from where I'm sitting.

Anyway back on topic, I posted this on a thread in this forum back in July:

"At Westminster yesterday Bob Crow, sharing a platform with Jeremy Corbyn and that independent socialist Welsh MP (?) announced the intention of the RMT to invite other trade unions and left-ish MPs in forming of a new working class party. This became official RMT policy at their AGM last month. Corbyn was openly challenged by Pat Sikorski (AGS) to renounce the Labour whip and stand as an independent.

There have, apparently, been encouraging noises from the FBU, UCW and PCS. Crow said that as far as he's concerned New Labour have now passed the point of no return and it's time to start from scratch and he'll be writing to all unions shortly.

Lyndsey German was on the same platform but didn't appear too impressed. She was kind of hoping that Respect would be the new party Crow had been talking about; but that's never going to happen.

I just hope this new party is a bit more long lasting and democratic than the SLP

My pissing about with Laya was daring to chat about CounterStrike with him and other clan members on threads on here...so perhap you should move to another seat?

when did you become familiar enough with layabout to have a pet name for him?

i expect they have learnt some lessons from that debacle - however do you (or any other supporter of a new worker's party) really believe that it is still a useful tactic to create a left wing reformist party - can capitalism really sustain a return to a genuine social democratic state at the moment? will the compromises that will inevitably be made to get in power make it worthwhile?
how do you expect to sell the idea to the millions of working class people who have become disillousioned with labour style politics?

and an extra question for the workers power lot - how would you opperate within a new formation - what would your minimum demands be?

Ahem. (clears throat and takes a sip of water before gazing doe eyed at the camera)

Speaking as the unelected spokesperson for the external faction of workers power ( tried to book the telephone box for a meeting of the executive but Workers Power had beaten me to it) our minimum demand, which would be delivered on the hour, every hour would be to start a petition and get a motion passed at a branch of the white collar section of the NUT to form a new, new mass party of the working class.

La Lotta Continua. Venceremos.

If Scargill's efforts are anything to go by (who couldn't even dent Mandelson's vote in Hartlepool) Bob has got an uphill task to say the least. In areas where he stands a chance is he going to go up against councillors from Respect and whatever outfit Davd Nellist is in these days?
And probably one of his strongest cards is his anti-immigration platform (he wants a work permit system like Cuba) whcih could see him grubbing for votes with UKIP.
That could at least make for some interesting debates; Farage's turbo charged Hayekian capitalism Vs Comrade Bob's five year plans.
