Blue Cheese

Parma violets smell like great-aunts with names like Ethel, Doris and Elsie used to.

Blue cheese really doesn't need refrigerating if you have anywhere larder temperature.
 
I never got the appeal of Parma Violets. If I wanted to taste air freshener, I'd have inhaled an air freshener can. But then, even at that age, I liked Danish Blue, even if it was just the Sainsbury's one :hmm:
 
It's fucking brilliant, isn't it? I've just hacked into a big lump of gorgonzola that's been stinking out the fridge for a few days... mmmmmm mmmmmmhh!

I love any kind of blue cheese, stilton is bloody gorgeous too!

I had a beef with blue cheese hot sandwich at a hotel pub in the Lake District - was one of the culinary highlights of the holiday.
