but what about the free beers?

can you not just ask them for a ridiculous amount? or are you worried they will pay it.

When I was doing Offline at the Dogstar, Budweiser wanted to do a promotion on my night.

I said that I'd only be happy if they left a great big pile of free beer for the punters in the corner and fucked off before the club opened.

Surprisingly, they didn't warm to the idea.

You'd probably (almost definitely) generate more money from AdWords (or Yahoo! Search) than from running a half banner from PriceRunner or Kelkoo over 6 months, but I think you're right to stick to your ad-free guns...
