a thursday birthday? fuck that, be doing sod all i imagine. savin' meself for the Surgeon.

i'll be the twitching, wide eyed, nutter leaning against the wall.........

... again
You're coming? Cool. Thought you were already doing something - a wedding or something

Jonny and Jochem (NWAQ) will play mostly house/disco I suspect, leaning towards the Chicago side of things towards the end. Legowelt's live set is pretty intense, more Chicago than electro - and then Surgeon plays pretty much everything under the sun. I have to say that I think Jonny is probably one of the best house DJs I've ever heard - he's amazing. And he's due to be a Dad 5 days afterwards.

Room 2 will be a mix of live sets and other material suc - I suspect we'll start off quite techno/electro with some Italo/Cosmic thrown in, and then slow it down towards the end of the night as the other room gets pretty intense especially with that soundsystem.

You should post here more.

People know what you're talking about, for a start...

Johnny is an excellent DJ. And you like breakcore. Pfft. There'll be a couple of live electro sets from Plant43 and Jo Johnson which will start off the evening nicely. I imagine Legowelt will be on before Surgeon. Toby (Bleep) and Ken will be ace too.
:) well, I'm not questioning anybody's technical merits, I've never heard him, and I really dislike disco, so I'd like to know if that's something I'd have to contend with
I don't like disco, you don't like breakcore... what's the difference :D
Thanks for the info.

Ok, I really need to get a ticket for this. I'm not crazy about Legowelt, but it would be madness to miss Surgeon. Fingers crossed it's not sold out...

I shall no longer be attending this fine party, as we have tickets to see Nomeansno in Derby the following night and I am way too skint to do both. Also, it's best mate's birthday do that night, so if I'm in London for anything it will be for that.

So a bit :( but very :D at the same time.

I'd better get there early for some electro. I will be avoiding anything vaguely Italo, though

You can get tickets at the usual place in Soho and now, at Rough Trade in Shoreditch

Not at Rough Trade sadly - they're not selling tickets there anymore. Had to go and collect them tonight. You can buy them at SOTU, Phonica or Vinyl Junkies.

Or you can paypal £12.50 per ticket to [email protected]

I will be getting a ticket tomorrow, although I was close to bailing out when I saw the Combat party on the night after.

But James Stinson wins. Is anyone meeting up beforehand?
