Are you coming to this? Can you cover my ears if there's disco?
Yes, and yes

It'll be a bit different to what Surgeon normally does because he's playing throughout the night, and as such will have a different approach.
He does play the odd disco record like "Doctor Love" on the rare occasion, but hey, go and have a fag outside or something. I can assure you discophobes that he won't turn into David Mancuso.
Surgeon is on at 10 btw, so arrive early.

I wouldn't mind hearing I Feel Love at all, actually.

I might come though. Do you think I'm a good substitute?
So can I interest people in a drink beforehand at The Ship: http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/35/3570/Ship/Borough?
Not been there since Unsound used to be in the area but used to be a good pub. Say from 9.00?![]()
see you in there.i can't come because i feel very ill
is surgeon getting paid £600/hour, out of interest like?

If he's playing all night, 10-7, £600 an hour would make it impossible to put the night on!
well, i'd imagine his basic rate is in the region of £600 and maybe £250 or there-abouts for every hour after that. believe me, £600 is pretty average (in fact pretty damn cheap) for a dj of his status. then again, he's a nice guy and into being able to play good music to a receptive crowd so maybe he lowers his rate when it's something he's into. depends on his agent really and how flexible they are as they're probably on a 20% cut of his earnings.

How was Scorn?
Surgeon & Pete were outstanding - his first (2 hour) set was just loads of NWW/Coil with Scott Walker thrown in - you'd have loved it.
