Blair and Musharraf

ah, but as Margaret Beckett stated in front of puzzled journos in response to the news that Saddam was to hang, the UK government does not seek to "interfere" with the internal affairs of another country.

So, they can be cosy bedfellows after all! Just fancy that etc.

Sorry loki, but that just gets to the core of why we never get any meaningful change in politics in britain. That's unreal!! How come the journos are 'puzzled'? How come they don't call her for such a blatant lie that assumes all journos and people do not have any brains. She has lied so blatantly, through her teeth, and all the journos are is 'puzzled'? Whenever i managed to muster up some outrage it is always for the journos. They should be listing all the interferences that beckett's party have engaged in and then simply ask her 'why are you so blatantly lying? Please explain your total disdain for any kind of intelligence we and the people have.'

I would not go that far, corporations to me are not some enemy, I can form a corporation myself quite easily or work for one, or help shape one. it would not be my intention to f**k anyone over with it.

When business is unethical it cannot survive long.
What you say may be true for small businesses, but what I meant by 'corporation' was a different beast: Those (typically multinational) entities which are owned & managed remotely and which care little for anything except profit & power. People & planet are regarded merely as resources to be exploited. You don't have to look hard to find unethical businesses which are both successful and long-lived.
