The looks don't do it for me and the specs are uninspiring...

i love flip phones. is this the first flipping smartphone?
Palm had one years ago and there's probably been others.

Flip phones are hugely popular in the States, but I really can't get on with the things (I fear I'd end up lobbing the thing skywards as I never really grasped the one hand flip-open technique).

I've had 1 flip phone, a Motorola thing, and I did like it. I can't help thinking they look very dated now though. One time, they were the in thing, made you feel like a secret agent or some such tosh, but now ... make you feel like you're living in 2002 or some such shit.

And now you've learnt the lesson. Give a new thread a full, descriptive title, and more people respond!

The interesting thing about this Blackberry is that it's a flip-phone, not the model number.

I'll merge the threads anyhow. But my title's staying! :)

When I first posted it had a slightly different name...

You had a Motorola and didn't like it. Now there's a surprise.
