It seems a strange list but my choice from those would be Sidney Poitier.

I think that list is fairly typical of both the industry and the country that spawned it. The most noticeable omissions for me are Paul Robeson and Ossie Davis. I suspect the reason for the omission is both actors' involvement in political causes.

The other thing I don't understand about this bizarre post going on about politics is the first bit.

What do you mean "typical of both the industry and country that spawned it"? What are you going on about? :confused:
 
Robeson changed the words from "Ah'm tired o' livin',
And skeered o' dyin'" to "I'll keep on fightin' until I'm dyin'". Much, much better. :cool:
