Simon Amstell came from Pop World on Channel 4, and is renowned for asking pop stars all sorts of difficult and odd questions.

It was quite amusing seeing that backfire when he interviewed the lead singer of the Kaiser Chiefs for the observer. "Ricky, you've got a very pink face, why is that?" "I've got a hereditary skin disorder called rosacea." "Oh God, i am so,so sorry"
And i thought the banter between him and Amy Winehouse was great. "We'd have beautiful children. With terrible hair."

I always thought amstell was wasted on popworld he spent so much time interviewing mcfly he couldn't take the piss out of them enough to stay above them, I know its probably his rent paying job but he couldn't have gotten much better paying gigs...
