Bitch about Lambeth Council

So that will be the end of their excellent children's centres, which seemed to be the one thing they were getting right :(
Until little hatter was born I wasn't quite aware of the various kids services in the area. It's a lifeline for parents, especially those with very young babies/toddlers. Doesn't matter what walk of life you're from - you need to do something with kids and meet other parents and give the babies some activities; the sure start/children's centres have been great, and also the 1 o'clock clubs. It's not only good for the kids but it also builds the community.

as I cycled down Brixton Road a freak gust of wind caused by the new tower block on robsart street lifted my baseball cap off my head and dumped it in the road, several vehicles passed over it with no ill effect, a Veolia van emerged from the side street and crushed it destroying the clasp at the back rendering it unwearable, too late to ask Santa for a new one, and barring a miracle I am left hatless for the festive season,
