yeah, the Thai Orchid is on that street. Does really nice takeaway - the restaurant's a bit pricey

the italian/swordfish is on the next street along.

Swordfish isn't on it, but the pub is almost directly opposite the Thai Orchid restaurant. It can be easy to miss as it dosen't really look like a traditional pub, more like a doorway into an office block.

That's probably why I've never noticed it...I sometimes go to the Briar Rose as it's smoke free and cheapish but have been looking for new places to go.

Not sure if I'd come...feeling rather low at the moment and I'm not very good with big groups of people I've never met before

It's on the same side of the Briar Rose, just further up the hill.

Glad you did! The 7th would have been best for me, but since it's been decided I have diarised the 30th and am increasing excitement levels now. Might have to leave the pub earlier rather than later, depending on whether me and the mister are going to visit a friend that night or not. Which I suppose means I should just start drinking earlier too. I can do that
