that is also an option

although 2 of the places we're going to shop also have bars :o its not going to be *really* serious shopping :D

i shall make more of a concerted effort to go to this one, or i mean stay longer than an hour.

see you then (june 30th)

(whereas i like shopping on my own, being dragged round with boat loads of chicks sounds like hell!!) :p

on Bennett's Hill, between Colmore Row and New St

Bennets Hill...is that the one with a very opulent Thai/something like that restaurant on a corner? And an Italian restaurant and Swordfish records?

yeah, the Thai Orchid is on that street. Does really nice takeaway - the restaurant's a bit pricey :D

the italian/swordfish is on the next street along.

are you coming shopping? :)

Swordfish isn't on it, but the pub is almost directly opposite the Thai Orchid restaurant. It can be easy to miss as it dosen't really look like a traditional pub, more like a doorway into an office block.

That's probably why I've never noticed it...I sometimes go to the Briar Rose as it's smoke free and cheapish but have been looking for new places to go.

Not sure if I'd come...feeling rather low at the moment and I'm not very good with big groups of people I've never met before :)

It's on the same side of the Briar Rose, just further up the hill.

Come along, we're a friendly bunch :)

I might have to catch you up a bit later depending on train times :)

I thought we were trying for a weekend in July? :(

They cant make it, one of the other guys in the band is in another band, and runs a weekend footy team, so he's very hard to pin down.

Glad you did! The 7th would have been best for me, but since it's been decided I have diarised  the 30th and am increasing excitement levels now. Might have to leave the pub earlier rather than later, depending on whether me and the mister are going to visit a friend that night or not. Which I suppose means I should just start drinking earlier too. I can do that :)

Woohooooooooooooo :D

I'm sooo glad you have diarised it! :D

I'm far more excited than I should be for a clothes shopping trip :D

Oh yes, I must find out the train times before Saturday :)

I want to find a red top to match my new red holiday shoes

I'd like to find some cropped jeans/trousers that don't make my legs look like sausages.

Ooh, my daughter was telling me about this! Apparently, it all depends where they end. Errrr, can't remember what she said though :o

I am soooo looking forward to this :D

Oh, do come!

I know exactly how you feel but it's not a really big group and a day out shopping might give you a boost :)

And you can laugh at me trying on hideously unsuitable outfits :o :D

*bumped* so that aqua can tell us where we're all meeting once she's dragged her muddy self back from Glastonbury :)
I'm back

but my brain really does kinda hurt and looking at things is proving quite tricky :o

will have a think when I can again and let you all know :o

urgh

She's gone to make a raft and paddle someone out of a flood, so might not be around for a day or so. :(
