Bioshock!

At least on the Xbox you don't get the problem I just had. Bought Bioshock, expecting my ever so slightly old, but still relatively speedy X850XT card to run like a dream. No such luck. Not even a warning message that my card wouldn't work.

Had to install some third party shader model 2 beta fix

Finished Bioshock by the way. I got the evil ending as I had been sucking the odd little sister dry. I didn't see the big daddy plasmids as such a great reward anyway as I'd rather kill stuff myself and the damn things often vanished or wouldn't engage until it was was too late.

I bought this card for £50 about 6 months ago. Thought I'd be okay for at least a couple of years, but they've brought in all this new shit. I'm thinking about buying an xbox 360 instead of getting a new graphic card.

You can buy mine if you like, I only really use my PC for gaming now. Can't justify having both.

It's the premium edition (20Gb hdd, 2 x wireless controllers, headset, etc) with 8 games (GoW, Rainbox 6, Fifa 07, Ridge Racer, Bioshock, Lost Planet, Tomb Raider, Oblivion).

Will think about it. Was going to wait a while to see if the PS3 comes out with some must-have games, and for the next edition of the xbox360 (cooler running and the like)

Just been playing this on my PC and its much better than Crysis, doesn't look as good, infact its going to take one hell of a game to beat the look of Crysis, but in terms of actually being a decent games this is miles better.

One thing to note to anyone, if you start on hard, no matter how much searching you do you will end up taking on a big daddy who is double hard to kill and extra fast, with just the wrench, which while I'd say isn't impossible, is pretty hard.

You'll have no eve and no ammo at all as everything double ammo to kill and there is no ammo, money in or eve, in anything or on anything.

There is hard and there is silly. I restarted on medium and its now its a bit easy, so play balance is a bit skewed.
