You can't really take two very political singer/songwriters and then get the arse when they're compared on politics, now. And you're probably right, he wouldn't have made the money without the politics, but he's a political singer/songwriter. He'd probably not have made as much money without his guitar, either...

I don't think you can really talk about Billy Bragg's music without mentioning politics. He seems to get dragged out on the news every so often as "voice of the left" or if it's not politics he'll be on about West Ham.
