A game of two halves, Billericay started fast and in my opinion deserved the lead at the half. Rowan Liburd and Jake Robinson consistently caused problems and I don’t think we dealt with them particularly well. I thought Vint had his worst game for us yesterday and I’m a really big fan. His judgement of the ball and distribution in particular. Perhaps he’s not as used to the artificial pitches. As the game went on, the opposition were pushing deeper and deeper - which we didn’t take full advantage of. A better 2nd half but not a lot of excitement. Last goal nothing to be concerned about as we were pushing for an equaliser.
I agree with the Higgs statement above, he’s growing on me every game - I’d just like to see a little bit more energy from him. That was the first I’d seen Blackman, I was impressed, solid enough defender and handy going forward, a true wing back. Sekajja not in the game and look short of match fitness. Grainger pulled off a couple of worldie saves, he has saved us on so many occasions this year. The ball wasn’t sticking with Mills and no runners off him regardless. Reise looked our only real threat, but just holds on to the ball for too long. He had a great penalty shout right in the first minute which I don’t think has been mentioned, but looked a penalty for me.
