One Down. Actually it isn't that much later. It was a funny band. One year they were working with Henry Threadgill, George Lewis and Fred Frith and then the next it's with Witney Houston and Nona Hendryx. Here's the very enjoyable and long single from that time:

I have the Nona Hendryx album, which is produced by Laswell. It's mostly quite dated, but there's a couple of decent tracks. Kind of like a low-rent Grace Jones.

track sounds alright if it had miles soloing over the top of it, but there seems to be no trumpet at all on it ~ shame ~

I think the flip was Jamie Myerson, think that was a bit more jazzy (and mellow)

I know you like a bit of Peter Brötzmann Fozzie, and the rest of the line up is a serious pedigree too... another more interesting than it sounds in the making? ive given it a try and it sounds like fun for them to play but not much fun to listen to, to me at least.

I often give a listen to his Imaginary Cuba album. Amazing wildtrack recordings wandering in and out of bars/venues. Inspirational and original stuff
