kained, have you seen the nick broomfield documentary? It makes a pretty compelling case for Suge being the one behind it.

suge was in the car when pac died so i doubt it.

silly drunken cocky pac shouldnt go round punching gangstas.

dave

'contracts' dude.

LOL I'm reading Suge Knights Wiki page and it reminded me of the incident which resulted in him dangling Vanilla Ice off a balcony til he signed over royalties of Ice Ice Baby to him. Totally forgot about that! :D

He had a sense of social responsibility then? Shoulda dropped the fucker..... Surely no-one would disagree with that?!

I'd just like to say that, as the founder of the Vanilla Ice fanclub I find that last comment to be extremely offensive.

don't thiink i have.

He and suge + many others got in massive fight with some southside crips in vegas couple of hours later a car containing suge and pac had 20 bullets shot into it, he died later. suge went to hospital to get rid of some shrapnel.

If suge had anything to do with it it was fuckig stupid to be sitting next to him when the shooting happend.

I don't buuy suge had aythig to do with it, apart from aything else 2pac was making him serious money. You don't shoot your most importent asset.

Yeah but Suge was probably like 'shoot me, and I keel you:mad:' to the contractors, innit?

Man, I should be a detective.

No comment. :D

Aaaaahh... So it's not ok........... :D;)

Nah but that Suge Knight sounds like a nasty, mental piece of work.

Certainly not the sorta bloke you'd wanna cross anyways. A modern day version of the corrupt producers/studio owners so prevalent during the reggae explosion during the 1960's. Some rather nasty oft hidden scumbags with connections to gunmen in that time too.

It's all covered in the doc. Suge lied about getting shot in the head, he only got grazed and he had links to the man commonly believed to be the one who pulled the trigger. Tupac was desperately trying to leave Death Row because Suge owed him $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

See if you can download it, it's called Biggie and Tupac. Broomfield is crazy, he gets into Suge's prison and interviewed him on the hop!

Oh i have watched that. Thought it was shite.

Yeah i know suge tried to gain gangsta poits by sayig the bullet got logged in his skull or some such bullshit.

Still you don't sit next to the bloke who your offing. Thats silly and risky especilly in a car where lot of richochets can happen and you basicly can't see the target.

Suge had links with everyone.

dave

Didn't agree with him so therefore it was shite.

there was a couple of pac documentries that were good but i can't rmemeber thier names & can't find em.

Does seem a bit insane that Tupac was shot and killed actually on the strip in Vegas, outside Caesar's Palace, which is a very well patrolled area (especially on fight night) yet there is apparently no suspects. The LAPD has been hauled over the coals for racism, corruption etc. and chuck Suge's links to some of those officers, the dispute with Tupac, the fact that Suge fancies himself as Al Capone etc. and it seems more likely than not to me.

Is that you, Chris Rock? :hmm:

Not 'alf as disappointed as I was having shelled out £45 quid or so per ticket to go and see him crack "So what about this David Beckham" type gags a few months back :( I never, ever imagined I'd walk out disappointed from a Chris Rock show...

I posed this question some time ago. It's a tough one and probably impossible aside from favoring regional styles. You're talking about deft skill and talent versus deft skill and talent. Tupac, no less gifted really, was more impressive for what he did with it addressing subjects that are more difficult imo, even though he only pretended to be what Biggie actually was. Still Biggie sometimes takes listening to twice.

This movie coming up is going to be pretty good it looks like.

so why did you say that you like the people who shot two rappers?

thats more gangsta than a rapper playing up an image on some of their songs

I felt like makiing a half arsed stupid remark, something i'm sure you can appreciate and indentify with.

Biggie fo sho!!!!

Yeah, it was a let down for sure. I was genuinely a little bit shocked as well cos I thought his name was a guarantee of high quality.

Really? Wow.

To be honest I think that Biggie had more of an impact, whereas I've never understood the attraction of Tupac - and that also extends to their lyrics and their vocal stylings. But, now that years have passed, I'm convinced that neither really helped progress Hip Hop in any way.
