I get what you mean, I generally hate that sort of stuff too if there's no merit to it, but Biggie and Tupac were proper artists. Can't believe I just said that, but they were. Tupac was an allrounder, Biggie was lovely to his mum.

Not all hip hop, i'm not a fan but I have no like for the 'gangsta' stylings of some.

Have you got a week spare?

so whats your problem with pac then. He goes deep and meaningful quiote a lot. Although obviously has gangsta leainings.

Also i don't recall biggie ever wearig the baggy jeans stuff. He was pimp rather then solider.

dave

well, no. Considering you're a grown man who still buys into the whole 'Skins' look, (one could say, wannabe 'hardmen' also) I would have thought you'd have more empathy with others doing the same with other 'sub-cultures' is all. I assumed wrong. :)

So because I like sta-prest, brogues, harringtons, dessie boots you're thinking it's a wannabe hardman image. Stereotype away it must be so comfortable. But of course you can make those assumptions from miles away without knowing me, do carry on.

Where did I say I have no empathy? Habving empathy doesn't then eman I have to like somehting does it?

Are you suggesting it's not utterly moronic to suggest people deserve to die just because someone doesn't like their music?

Because I'm struggling to imagine what might put me off saying exactly the same thing to your face if you made similar comments... unless you're saying you're sooooo tough I wouldn't dare, of course... :D

That's the bit I found weird too.

I hate the whole 'gangsta' shit too, but to post what you posted Fed was a bit cock-like.

If he's not into hip hop, I can understand him lumping anyone who mentions guns and such as being a gangsta rapper but if you're into the music then you can tell the difference between a Biggie and a Lloyd Banks.

Probably as moronic as people who talking about 'killing in the face' on here but that doesn't seem to elicit the same response?!

I'm sure you would, never said you wouldn't. Now who's making the hard man statements....

Do I have to like it then? Or can't I make the same sort of half arsed ill informed comments that people so regularly do on here?

Hardman? No, I'm responding to your "from behind a keyboard" jibe. Are you having trouble remembering what you've said, now?

You're looking good, Spud, keep it up! :D

You can talk! :D I wasnt glad someone was dead with my stereotypes though.:D
....although I'd prolly run a mile if I saw you in the street dressed like that cos you'd prolly kick my head in. :p

Go for your life, mate, but only if you're prepared to put up with 15 pages of being called a racist etc, you know the way it goes on here. Sure some bright spark is lining that one up as we speak.

Just because someone goes deep and meaningful doesn't amke them de facto good does it? Lots of people do 'deep and meaningful' but I bet we'd all agree that can also be shite.

Hip hop and the whole rap-sub culture leaves me utterly cold. The whole-with some-glorification of guns, drugs, hos etc etc

I do find it ironic that those who glorify violence and abuse get that in the end.

No rememebring perfectly thanks. Thans for the compliment but I fel a bit ill today.

I'm surprised it hasn't been yet. But as much as I disagree with those already here i'd credit them with enough to know the truth.

That's fine, your right and all that but you're clearly a big music fan and I'm sure you'd be thoroughly fucked off if anyone suggested that one of your musical idols should be killed or that it's a good thing that they were killed.

As for glorifying violence - films, tv, books could all be said to do the same. Can barely be bothered to trot out the same refried arguments.

I certainly have no intention of calling you a racist - I'm positive that's not where you're coming from.

Nonetheless, I think your comment is stupid and offensive, and I think less of you based on it. I'm sure you care deeply.

:p

Nope it does't but you seem to be suggestig that all there is to 2pac and biggie is gats and hos and baggy clothes.

Which is uninformed bollocks and likely to get you cussed in a thread thats clearly going to contain fans of thiers.

I'm not particularly glad they're dead neither. Especially in regards to Tupacs mum who seems rather an smart woman. I'm certainly not glad that Biggie is dead as it spawned that utter shite puff diddy sone sampling the Police. If bringing him back emant that was never plaed again it's well worth considering. But as I said it seems the half arsed over the top silly remarks are only allowed by a certain few.

Hang on, you can't blame a dead man for Puffy's police aberration?

If it's any compensation, I bet he was rolling over and banging his fat fists on his coffin about that blatant commercial turn too.

Didn't for a minute think you would.

Half arsed idiotic remarks usually are.

Not blaming him, just saying if he hadn't died we wouldn't have had to hear that shite. Blame that utter twat P Diddy for making the record.

and mase wouldn't have been signed up and puffy wouldnt have done that kasmir sample and grrrr.

I hate him i hate him i hate him.
