Big Train

...and World Staring obviously :D

I was hoping someone would say so. Since I bought the box set a while back I've become convinced that the Staring contests might be the best comedy sketch I've ever seen.

Stiff competition from the Mao Virginia Plain karaoke and this though:

- mainly for The Actor Kevin Eldon's walk as he's passing the doorway.

There was nothing else on at the time so I think I watched bits of them all from time to time.

Big Train was mostly duff. Like the fast show, it's WTF moments were never fast enough. The whole thing felt like abstract riffing rather than comedy. Couple of moments, though personally I HATE HATE HATE the artist formally known as prince stalking the jockeys, and I am a big Morris fan for the most part.

I loved this early effort that came free with select roughly around the time everyone was listening to Steve Wright in the afternoon.

i like the one with the sexy puppet, the one with the brother in jail reading his sister's letter, the jockeys and the firemen, mao doing virginia plain, the adopted bloke meeting his mum, shit, all of them. there was barely a duff sketch.

That was definitely one of my favourites :D

One of the things that was great about the series was that they generally played everything deadly seriously, and fully committed to the premise... premises? Premisi?

e2a: that's Graham Linehan's voice!

Yes, maybe I missed the beginning or something.

Clearly missed something.

Faithful Party member saying "Don't try to sing" to Mao on his deathbed in not-quite-enough-of-a-Chinese-accent to be actually offensive. How can you not find that funny?

A_S likes to pretend he doesn't find things funny for some reason, it's a reoccurring theme.

It's odd behaviour.
