Big Sexy Festie this Saturday in Finsbury Park...you coming?

That was my kind of day out!
Properly old school.
The mighty Bedlam rig; absolutely awesome sound...I was really glad I arrived early enough to hear it being played really (really!) loud at the begining (before they were asked to turn it down so that the other rigs could be heard :D )
Loved the Reknaw stage, lots of good bands, I really enjoyed Dirty Love, they rocked, and of course Inner Terrestrials...

It was a glorious day, and I just spent the whole time bumping into old friend after old friend....It was really fun.
Shame to hear about that geezer spoiling it for everyone else in the dub tent, andf sorry to miss you william (yet again)

But really, what an excellent festival!
...and no fence in sight...

Let's have more like those please.:)

Lovely day, shame I had to go before things really got going. Great to see people and nice to have a day that reminded me a bit of the sadly-lost Volcano festival. In fact, as I remarked to a few people, I'm surprised the authorities let it go ahead at all, as they seem to have it in for anything too horse-frighteningly underground. I can only guess it gets a break by being for charidee (and a mighty good cause it is too).

I was told that several of the same people who used to be involved in the Volcano fests, are also now involved in this ... I'm sure someone can confirm that or not ...

Glad to hear many people had a good time... weather was perfect for it. Was up there with a few friends (think some of you probably remember Dwen, Biotec, Slacker, SpiralX etc). By the way william I've been to 2 glastonburies, a few urban meets and many old unsounds (back when it was at the arches) with you, and ya still don't recognise me... :D You ol' waster you. :p

well I'm off to Suffolk to spend some time in sunny fields... Have a good summer people.

That was great indeed... mrs1798 and I enjoyed it immensely. Great to see the Urbs we did...

thinking of going down to Carnival-de-Cuba in South Bank now.

Did we bump into each other then?? :D

It was ace down to drinking warm lager and bumping into loads of old friends
but the punks cutting up lines of speed in the back of the Reknaw stage should really have been a bit more discrete considering the number of kids about (not meaning to sound preachy here)

Absolutely wonderful super fantastic day out in Finsbury Park.
Can't fault it at all, had a lovely day amd met a few more of you urbanites as well.
Did anyone notice how low and orange the moon was when it came up....icing on the cake....(being a hippy at heart and all that)

Well done the organisers....a good job, well done!

S'true - what a throughly enjoyable day out that was, N.London rocking and raving big time, thanx to the DJ's next to Eco Arcadia for some great sounds, Nelson, Derek, Mark and Chris were all so very very good, I didn't make it anywhere else (apart from the offie for more cold beer). Top stuff

that was the funniest day I've had for ages! punks are cool

The Reknaw stage was well happening.

A friend of a mate of mine was in awe of the massed punks by the Reknaw stage. He assumed they had come from various places outside London. He asked me where they had all come from...

I said Hackney...and possibly South London:D

He didn't believe me! Seems he hasn't noticed/there aren't any punks in Tottenham where he lives:D :D

Don't think he's been to many free festivals....

:D

The sound they got for the bands was the best i've ever heard at an outdoor thing too, you could actually hear the guitar not just drums and bass. the dancing was a bit crazy tho, i have some bruises
