big bearded rasta

Who is the rasta guy who walkes up and down the high all day talking very loudly and incompresibly to anyone who will listen? He "patrols" from the tube to the KFC and never stops talking and is there all day sometimes? I don't think it's the same guy as this one's not 6' tall.

He used to live in the same block of flats as me, Allan. He's annoying but harmless. He used to verbally abuse me in the street (Whore of Babylon) till I bought him a bottle of Dragon Stout in the Angel just after he moved into my block. I know his name but I won't put it here.

That's him. Really, although racist, misogynist and annoying, he wouldn't actually hurt anyone. He's been quite sweet to me since I bought him that beer all those years ago. Perhaps if everyone in Brixton bought him a beer he'd fall silent.

Adopt-a-rasta.com?

I met a very friendly lady at my local library who ran an organisation where people could adopt Rasta elders in Jamaica.

really.

She said there were lots of rasta elders in JA who had suffered persecution and who didn't have enough money to live.

I think he organisation was called Rastaites. Just in case anyone wants to adopt a Rasta elder.

Yes, it's true. Here's the link. Check it out. The cause can also be supported through the purchase of raffle tickets from a number of places in London.

I read an article this weekend about rastitutes (or rent a dreads)! Apparently in a similar vein to men going to Thailand to meet girls, up to 80,000 women go to Jamaica every year to pick up rastas!!

It wasn't this article but mentioned here in the Guardian. (Sugar Mummies)
