I was in Hodgson's and The Sun (and Nellies) yesterday as well. We had an unknowing Urban meet-up.

Yep, my mates live in beverley and go in there often on a Sunday for a good old knees up. Hodgsons was pretty quiet but we didn't make it to Nellies!
Yep - the locals can be a bit funny to outsiders - i've been here 7 years and I am still seen as the strange one from "down south". Luckily for me, most of my mates are not fromround those parts, or if they are, they are wierd, so thats ok!

I was born there, lived there til I was 28 and then had the nerve to move away. I am teh Judas.
Will definitely give The Sun a look next time I'm up if it's over a weekend, though.

Oh blinkin' heck!!! I can't remember seeing another Foucault lookalike, but we were sitting on the big table on the left hand side of the bar between about 3 and 5 ish i think! We were mostly chatting to locals though - i can't remember speaking to any wierd outsiderish type folk!

Ah, we were on the right hand side of the bar, under the telly. And a bit later on I think.
Curses, that would have been one for my urbanite sightings thread.
I have to admit, that would have been a little strange!! I can't remember exactly what time i was in, but I reckon if you had of seen us, you woud have remembered my mate who looks like Foucault cause he wears funny blue glasses (and we wonder why people think we are a strange bunch!).Maybe join you in August prehaps? <Mozzy blushes at being so forward!>

Nah, it's OK.
I had a tough paper-round.
It's the glasses & hair - my bf is also shaven with glasses and gets called Foucault - him and Col joke they were bro's in a last light, but my bf is only 34
