Beth Ditto at Evans

I want the domino dress and the donino leggings and those brogues NOW but what's with that anorak? :D

Oh FFS! I was thinking "oh it all looks a bit shit" but now I'm really wanting some of it. That black dress. I want it. Grr.
 
Tbh it's not even that expensive, compared to some places.

I am going to call HSBC and get something done about my overdraft this evening :mad:

AND, assistants in Evans don't look you up and down and make you feel old and fat when you take clothes into the changing rooms! :cool:
 
I think its mostly shit. Mainly cos the shape of alot of the dresses seem unflattering, the way they go in and are tight around the ass and thighs-makes the belly look much bigger-has a balloonesqe look -not good. Dont think Beth looks good in that batwing dress-her legs look too chunky. Uh uh. I need a fitted shape-low cut at the front that accentuates my hips and bust not my belly. None of the stuff in fashion seems to be of this kind of shape.:(

I took a top of the kind I descibed above back to Evans the other day. The shop assistant asked me what the problem was and I replied that the top looked fantastic in Evans mirror but shit in mine!:D
 
I am fucking fed up with Beth Ditto, yes she's a big lass and fair fucks to her for not giving a fuck but it's a tad fucking tiresome having her wanked on about like she's some sort of role model when she is morbidly fucking obese, it's also a bit hypocritical considering the shit skinny women in the limelight receive about being bad role models and promoting unhealthy diets.

Of course we all know the people bigging her up are mostly patronising wankers, much like that Miko cunt and his Big Girls song, yeah mate you're gay.
 
i think revol's got a point though, as much as i like beth ditto. and the bit about patronising wankers is correct - a couple of years ago karl lagerfield got all huffy cos H&M made his range he desinged for them in larger sizes (well, maybe size 14) for the UK market, and now he's pictured being all chummy with beth.
 
that spot 2 in 1 hoody is kinda cool. I really hate beth ditto too but with much less vitrol and slagging off of everyone then revol.

I do think she is the last person who should be giving out body image advice and should definatly use deoderant and shave her armpits and be in a better band and should be a lot less 80's.

I don't hate Beth Ditto, I hate the wankfest that surrounds her and the hypocrisy of it all.

I don't really see her giving out body image advice, it's a fucking clothes range! It's basically a clothes rage from 14-whatever and an antidote to the Kate Moss range I guess. Size 14 isn't exactly obese is it?

I also couldn't give a fuck about her armpits.

And I like the 80s.

I don't understand why people get so worked up about it, it's a clothes range not a campaign for everyone to be fat.
 
Went into the Evans section of Morleys today - not a trace of the Beth Ditto collection there. :(

Still, found plenty of stuff way too big for me (size 18-20). :cool:
 
Flying off the shelves in the Trafford Centre - they'd sold out of quite a few things, including the bag I wanted. It's nicer IRL than on the pics, surprisingly.

This came today - very pretty, but much more cleavage revealing than I had anticipated. Not that there is anything wrong with my cleavage, just thinking it may not be appropriate to turn up at a wedding with loads of people I don't know, and busting out all over. :hmm:

It's only in Marble Arch and Westfield branches in London.

I popped into the Marble Arch branch yesterday. Wasn't particularly busy. I bought the purple sequin dress/top so that I can try it on at home. It may well go back. I can't help but think it makes me look like a big bar of Dairy Milk :o

I might post pics later to see what urbs think... :hmm:

The bag's great - wish I'd popped into the one in Westfield now. I really like some of the dresses too. How generous are the sizes in Evans? I'm a size 12 but sometimes a 10 or a 14 depending on the cut. :hmm:
