My mate just bought me a ticket, whoop! The surprise guest on the Sunday was meant to be Beastie Boys but not now that one of them has cancer.
I'm still kicking myself that I didn't go the year they played. I also didn't know when I went last year that the surprise guest was The Specials!

Blimey. When I've done bar work in the past they lay a coach on london with ferry covered and/or ferry paid for if you drive.
Likewise with the lot running the tents I mentioned earlier. Thought Oxfam might have covered it for stewards.
The ferries are ridic expensive though considering the length of crossing

Strue. Truly ludicrous car/ferry costs have put us off going back after we went to the excellent Bestival of 2007, despite the fact that Deb has somewhere to stay in Ryde (she was brought up an Islander and has friends there).
Would like to go back some year though ....

I'm going for the Coach - £60 all in from Bristol which is pretty good, and you don't have to struggle on/off various forms of public transport on the journey...
Ferry prices should encourage carsharing though which is good...
