bestest one-hit wonder ever in the history of the world.

ah, but only the one under Edison Lighthouse? ;)
Whoever knew Burrows was in Brotherhood of Man!
Only seconds ago, discussing with a colleague about my dislike of B of M.

Yes, I think the Edison Lighthouse record was his best hit - the Pipkins was probably the worst!

I had forgotten the pipkins until then as well.
i agree about Edison's being the best hit and wonder if it's a hippyish or generational thing.

Have we had The Days of Pearly Spencer yet?

This is probably heresy, but I have to admit to preferring Mark Almond's cover to the original, great though that is...

Both Warren G and Nate Dogg had other UK hits apart from one another and with other people, but I don't believe they did anything as a duo other than Regulate.

Collaborations are kinda unfair.
It's like saying saying aerosmith and run dmc had other hit but I don't thing they ever released anything as a duo apart from walk this way.

though anything is a good reason to revisit either song.

Yeah, if you count collaborations then:

Frank & Nancy Sinatra
Paul McCartney & Stevie Wonder
Mick Jagger & David Bowie
Aretha Franklin & George Michael
Beyonce & Shakira
Girls Aloud & Sugarbabes

are all one hit wonders.

Leapy Lee - Little Arrows

Leapy Lee has made a name for himself recently. After his one hit, he did a short spell in prison, then emigrated to Spain, where he has lived for many years. In recent times, he has become a columnist on a dismal English-language newspaper (Costa Blanca News, or something similar) which is a right-wing rag for "expats" who see no irony in voting for brexit and living in an EU country. Now in his 80s, he dispenses "common sense" bile to a diminishing audience who can´t get their hands on the Mail or Express.

Here´s an example of his "journalism" in which the 1960s one-hit-wonder berates the national broadcaster of a country he hasn´t lived in for several decades...
