I have sentimental reasons for that formation. It's what my dad always used to play in Subbuteo, as he thought that two centre backs ( or "sweepers" as he called them) was easily enough against a 10 year old child.

Most of the time. His tactical forays with the local Under 14s side however, were somewhat less successful.

Did Schmeicel ever play in it? A little surprising that Northern Ireland never managed to qualify with Best, Jennings and Blanchflower in their ranks.

I was torn between Banks, Yashin and Zoff (captained the winning team at 40) for my keeper but patriotism and THAT save won out.
