Agree, but I don't think max payne 2 lived up to number 1.

not at all - the new reload move was pretty awesome but otherwise it was a bit pants - same short length and slightly crapper gameplay. My personal beef being that the sawnoff was just rubbish in the sequel.

There's a game from Sony based in london called The Getaway. Have you played it?

It's kind of interesting, but way too much talking and driving. Some of the driving is fun because it's supposed to be an accurate rendition of london.

yeah, an interesting but flawed game.

I've however that its sequel "Black Monday" is a vast improvement.

(I don't actually own a console myself you see)

We have a ps2.

I've played Black Monday for about an hour, we just rented it. As I recall, it was a little better (although you're the cops this time: what's up with that?), but we haven't rushed out to buy it.

The double shotgun from doom 2 was much better - one shot in the back at point blank range... or the rocket launcher. Or teh berserk pack!

Never really got into the quake games or later stuff. And don't mention duke nukem 3D - it was a pile of shite.

nah I don't mind consoles - but I've only got a PC so couldn't really afford a console and *ahem* its easier to get those PC games

the only thing that pisses me off with consoles is the control system - IMHO nothing beats the keyboard/mouse combo, especially for FPSs, i mean, halo is a bit mad with a joypad

No better feeling when dieing in multi-player but knowing you managed to stick a grenade to the cunt that killed you and he has seconds to live.

For weapons that I tend to use even if there's a better alternative, the UT2004 flak cannon. Running up behind somebody and turning them into mush at point blank range, it's a great feeling. Although the minigun is also good, especially for the sound. Spinning the thing up beforehand always makes the actual firing much more enjoyable.

I hate all rocket launchers.

The assault rifle or sniper rifles in Deus ex, mod the hell out of them, laser sights, scope, silenced, no recoil and massive magasines....

But my favourite weapon of all time is the spnkr rocket launcher from Marathon 2, rocket launcher tag was born with that game.

that's a weapon, not all these big macho guns from fps's.

The bush hook from Vampire: Bloodlines is particularly savage. Sneak up behind someone, whack 'em with the sharp end, pick them up and bring them down on their bonce. Nice.
