The pointless bile directed at people like LH is the real dog end of 'urban' culture.

Stand your achievements up against his, a black man going mainstream in the 1970's, if you will.

Don't like his jokes, fine, but acknowledge his regard for WC culture and absence of model wife.

I think this thread has done pretty much what you suggest (e.g. post 11). And people have been saying they liked him in the radio play.

he wrote a short film about 20 years ago under a pen name which was then given the go ahead before people realised who'd written it. They showed it on TV and it wasn't bad, it wasn't a comedy though.

I have yet to see anything he has done that I've found remotely funny, ever.

Why is he still here? I don't get it.
