I was going to go for Mike Post and Pete Carpenter who did the music for 'The A Team' and 'Rockford Files' and 'Magnum PI'.

But I think the best film writer is Ron Goodwin who did the music for '633 Squadron', the early Miss Marple films (Margaret Rutherford) and a film called 'The Trap' whose theme is the one used by the London Marathon broadcast

Yes the BBC cricket theme - Soul Limbo by Booker T and the MGs, a classic.

But everything about Rentaghost was rubbish, inlcuding the theme music.

They must've been taking some seriously fucked up drugs when they made that show.

How about The Young Ones, which had the Cliff Richard cover for the intro, and the manic horn piece for the end credits.
